Birthday Boy!
Happy birthday to me! I am 1 year old today! Can you believe it? And since today was my special day I had tons of fun! First Mommy woke me up singing the "Happy Birthday" song!
Then after some shopping Mommy and I went to the zoo!
And look who came to meet us! I had so much fun riding on Grandpa's shoulders, having Grandma push me in the stroller, and laughing and playing with Ava. 
After a nice nap I got to see Daddy! We ate dinner. (I didn't want to eat. I wanted to play with my birthday balloon.)
Mommy and Daddy surprised me with a ton of presents!
My favorite is Buddy the Bear.
After presents Mommy and Daddy sang the birthday song and gave me a special birthday cookie. I loved the frosting! Mommy and Daddy said I need to practice getting messy for my party on Saturday. I can't wait! Oh and I heard them say something about a special party "Surprise"! Wonder what that could be?????

Jake's 1st Haircut
Well today was the day.....I got my first haircut! I was a little unsure at first, but didn't mind it at all. The place was so cool! I got to watch cartoons, eat animal crackers, and play with a brush and comb. And because I was such a good big boy I got a prize before I left! I can't wait to come back!
Jake's 1st Fourth of July!
The 4th of July is so much fun! I got to pick out fireworks for Daddy to light, then watched them go "boom"! Mommy gets spooked when they blow up. I think they are neat!

Surfside Beach-OUR VIDEOS
This was our first stop at Fort Mill, South Carolina. We stayed with Cheryl and her family. The swimming pool was a great way for Jake to warm up!

Surfside Beach (Part 2)- OUR PHOTOS
Date night picture at the Sea Captain's House (out of order as you can tell from our tans).
We finally made it to Surfside. A little bit of traffic, but it was all worth it! Jake was great in the car! What a sport! He enjoyed listening to mommy sing and playing peek-a-boo behind the carseat.

Day 2 and Jake was already pooped out from the day before.
Day 3 brought a much more alert and playful boy!
Carlos n Charlies was a fun time, especially for Jake who also got a balloon hat!
